Colleagues and partnering communities of Gil Center,
The partners of Gil Center for Healing and Play (GCHP), PLC would like to inform you of our decision to dissolve GCHP on December 31st, 2012. Our primary commitment is to prepare all
GCHP clients for this change with the least disruption to their treatment as is possible. We are
committed to ensuring continuity of clinical services and a seamless transition to the same
clinician or an appropriate option for the transfer of treatment.
GCHP clinicians are committed to continuing our focused work with high-risk children and
families and we want to assure you that no clients will be terminated from treatment
prematurely. All GCHP clinicians are establishing future work plans so that clients can easily
transfer their care with us rather than having to find another mental health professional.
GCHP’s partners, contract therapists, and interns will be in touch with you shortly to arrange the
care of current clients, to discuss how to refer future clients, and to provide you with additional
contact information. All contact information for our GCHP team will be intact until December
31, 2012. On the next page, we are providing contact information for those staff who have
confirmed their plans. You can check back with our website after January 1 for additional
information on staff currently working with GCHP.
As soon as website construction is completed, our website, www.gilcenter.com, will include
links to websites for each partner’s new practice settings. For those colleagues who we are
collaborating with in our treatment of a current client of GCHP, that clinician will be in touch
with you directly to plan for the upcoming transition.
